The IDP SMART-51D is a desktop ID card printer that prints on both sides of a card in a single pass. It uses dye-sublimation and resin thermal transfer to produce sharp full-colour or monochrome cards at 300 dpi, with edge-to-edge printing on standard CR-80 cards. It suits small to mid-sized organisations that issue staff badges, student IDs, membership cards and visitor passes. It prints quickly, handles PVC, PET and composite cards, and has an automatic card feed. A front panel with a 2-line LCD and two buttons keeps day-to-day use simple. The printer can grow with your needs. Options include magnetic stripe, contact and contactless smart card encoders, UV security printing, Ethernet and a lamination module. A SMART-51S can also be upgraded to a 51D in the field.
