Product details

The TP-Link Tapo C425 KIT is a wire-free outdoor security camera that charges itself from a solar panel, so you don’t have to recharge the battery or run a power cable. The kit includes the Tapo C425 camera and a Tapo A201 solar panel. The camera records in 2K QHD (2560 × 1440), which is sharper than standard 1080p. Built-in spotlights and a starlight sensor give full-colour video at night, with infrared night vision up to 15m. Free AI detection tells people, pets and vehicles apart, so you get fewer false alerts. Two-way audio lets you talk to visitors, and a sound and light alarm can scare off intruders. The camera is IP66 weatherproof and the solar panel is IP65. The panel can clip onto the camera or connect through a 4-metre cable, so you can put it where it gets the most sun. You can save recordings to a microSD card (up to 512GB) or use Tapo Care cloud storage (subscription needed). It connects over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
