Match screen size and resolution to your workspace
Screen size tells you the diagonal measurement; resolution tells you how many pixels the screen displays. For spreadsheets and several windows, compare the usable workspace as well as the physical width of the monitor. Check your desk depth and viewing distance before choosing a larger screen.

Confirm connections and mounting
Match the display's inputs to your computer. HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C capabilities differ by model, and a USB-C port does not always provide laptop charging. Check power delivery, supplied cables, stand adjustment and VESA compatibility if those features matter to your setup.
